10:00 - 11:00
Visiting House museum of Joseph Stalin in Gori. Construction of this museum started in Stalin’s life. In next years there were gathered lots of artefacts. Nowadays we can see there lots of Photographs depicting his life, Stalin’s personal possessions and presents that he was gifted while being General Secretary of Communist Party of the Soviet Union. There is a house in the garden of the museum where Stalin was born. You can also see an armored wagon which he used to travel throughout the Soviet Union.
11:30 - 13:30
Visiting Uplistsikhe cave complex (stone age – XVIIIc). Uplistsikhe is the oldest ancient fortified town in Georgia. It exists since stone age but remained parts of it belong to classical, early and high middle-ages. The ruins and remained parts of Uplistsikhe are quite impressive place. We will also visit the museum.
14:00 - 15:30
Lunch time. We can have a picnic in nature.
16:00 - 17:00
Seeing Ateni Sioni Church (VIIc). Ateni is a replica of Mtskheta Jvari and is built a bit later than the former one. It is located in the stunning valley of Tana. The church is important especially for its frescos, painted in XI c. and historical inscription carved on the walls.
