We'll visit the Cathedral Manglisi (V-XI centuries.). Manglisi Sioni one of the oldest churches in Georgia. In the history of Georgia, a lot of important points related to this cathedral. The cathedral is a good example of Georgian architecture.
11:45 - 12:00
We'll stop near the largest lake in Georgia, on the edge Faravani. The largest lake in Georgia, located on the volcanic plateau, at an altitude from sea level to an average of 2000 meters. From the edges of the lake with splendid views of the highest ridge of Georgia Samsari.

We research the huge cave complex of Vardzia (XII-XIIIcc.). The cave complex of Vardzia is a city-era monastery of the Golden Age of Georgia, during the reign of King Tamar. It consists of 13 floors and more than 600 caves of various kinds. Among them, the Cathedral of Slumber which is fully preserved frescoes. Particularly interesting is the fresco of King Tamar which was painted during her life.

Day 2 - Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi

After lunch, we consider the historical part of the town of Akhaltsikhe, Rabat. Akhaltsikhe for centuries represented the principality of Samtskhe-Javakheti and was the main fortress. Today, this is impeccably renovated castle and a name Rabati preserved after the conquest of Turkey (XVI-XIX centuries.). There is also the wonderful museum.

We'll view the ruins of a fortified Atskuri. Atskuri (XI c.) Is located on a rocky hill on the banks of the Kura River and even in ruins, it's impressing with its grandeur. Here are the ruins of the largest church in Georgia.
13:00 - 14:30
Walk in the city of Borjomi which is known throughout the world for its mineral waters. Borjomi is situated in a picturesque valley, which does not leave anyone indifferent. Borjomi beauty was caught by many famous people, including the great Russian compositor Tchaikovsky, who considered it the most beautiful valley.

Visiting Timotesubani Church (XII-XIII cc.). Architecturally standard church, beautiful by its frescoes. Wall painting belongs King Tamara times and is one of the best in Georgia. The monastery is located in a beautiful dense forest.
